Phil was very professional on the day and so discreet, that at times, I didn’t notice he was there. I'm more used to being behind the camera than in the spotlight, regardless, hello and here's a little about Caru and Me.
My name is Phil, I'm the owner of Caru Wedding Videography. An intimate company operated in the outskirts of Wrexham, North Wales. Caru (that's Welsh for 'love' and pronounced Car-ee, not Car-oo) was founded back in 2016 when I wanted to take my passion for wedding films to the next level.
I have, undoubtedly, the best job in the world. I get to be a part of one of the biggest and most memorable days in a couples lives. I get to capture their day discreetly and deliver to them a film which, through storytelling, sound design and editing wizardry will serve as a timeless memento for them to cherish for rest of time.
I love meeting with my couples in the build-up to their big day. It offers great opportunity to discuss details and to get to know each other better. Honestly, no two weddings are the same! People are most relaxed around friends and family, and whilst I can't become part of the family, we can at least become friends.
I pride myself in being as unobtrusive and candid as I can be, whilst still capturing the best bits of the day. The equipment I use, whilst of professional-grade and highest quality, is compact and discreet. I capture everything required to fulfil the chosen package and can do most of this without asking you to do anything you wouldn't otherwise be doing.
In 2018, after many hours of training (both in the classroom and in the field) I become fully certified by the Civil Aviation Authority to fly a drone and capture footage that I can use in my wedding films to further compliment the storytelling. This is an accreditation I hold with pride, and invest a lot of time into every year to maintain my accreditation.
